Alana is an extremely talented patient educator and very passionate about helping people understand the importance of their oral health. She feels that the more you know and understand, the easier it is to maintain good oral health. She enjoys learning about all the latest technologies and scientific advancements in dentistry and incorporating them into her periodontal therapy. She volunteers with various organizations throughout Southern California to provide hygiene and dental screening services. She also participates with the non-profit group Reading Partners to help elementary school children gain age appropriate reading skills. When she is outside the office she enjoys riding her mountain bike or beach cruiser, taking full moon night hikes, going dancing and sewing dress up costumes for her little niece. Also she has recently starting studying the art of Tai Chi. Life is not about us. True life and true joy is found when we are giving our time, gifts, and love to others. She is a graduate of West LA College and was a dental assistant for 7 years before becoming a hygienist. Alana grew up in Las Vegas, and has lived in CA since 2003.
